Travel Trac Comp Fluid Trainer
I have owned two of these trainers. They work well for about a year and a half and then the bearings go out on them and start screaming. Since Performance has changed their return policy, I'm sort of stuck. So, it's a throw away item. The good news is that it's relatively inexpensive. Since it's half the price or less, you'll get three years out of two or maybe 5 years out of three.
The question is.....Do you buy a more expensive trainer with the possibility that your now $500 trainer blows up 6 months out of warranty?
Overall rating...good trainer that will break in about 18 months.

Travel Trac Comp Fluid Trainer
Compared to the first travel Trac I had in 1999, this is a huge Improvement! Super easy set-up & whisper quiet. I'm impressed with the auto intensity adjustment while pedaling. It's smooth and fun to use! Performance Bike Shops have never let me down and delivery of this item was fast. The box & contents were well protected.

Travel Trac Comp Fluid Trainer
I bought the Travel Trac Trainer because the gyms are sometimes closed due to Covid and I wanted to continue to cycle. Once the snow and Ice come in the North, I move inside. I found the trainer to be very sturdy once it is all set up. I had no problem swapping out the quick release. It was a little tricky lining up the bolts on the back wheel as I had a kick-stand and rack in that area so I just had to adjust everything to line up. Once I had all the adjustments tightened, it was very sturdy in the stand. It is somewhat noisier than I would like and the sound oscillates a bit as I don't have toe clips, but I just use some earphones with music and it's not as bad. I get a pretty good workout so I am happy about that. All-in-all, it is a good unit and will fold up for storage. I recommend it. Performance Bicycle was very easy to deal with as I ordered on-line with UPS delivery. They were very attentive to any concerns I had.

Travel Trac Comp Fluid Trainer
This is great! A little louder then I expected, but it's steady and easy to take the bike on a off of. didn't think it was bad shipping times, considering the quarantines..

Travel Trac Comp Fluid Trainer
Just got the trainer a week ago. Trivial set up, just change out the rear wheel quick release with the one provided and set the rear triangle into the trainer. I was ready to ride in 15 minutes. The trainer is quiet and smooth, after 3 rides I’m very pleased with my purchase. I cannot comment on longevity, but ease of use is great.

Travel Trac Comp Fluid Trainer
This is my first trainer. It is pretty basic. It turned my mountain bike into a stationary trainer. It works well. Easy to set up and easy to store away when not being used. I have heard a lot of trainers especially the magnetic based are very noisy. This one is not. The noise is not a problem. I can hear my TV without headphones. If you are looking for a basic trainer, this is a good one. I added the Garman speed and cadence sensors to be able to keep track of my workouts on my smartphone. If you want to do online racing and competing than I would recommend you spend more money for a smart trainer that is approved for the app you want to use.

Travel Trac Comp Fluid Trainer
As 2 others said, the trainer opening is too narrow. My Scattante and old Paramount would not fit, even after trying different skewers. Called customer service and was transferred to a bike tech. Took down my information and said he would get back to me. Never did. Tried calling one more time and gave up. I long for the days when Performance had stores with great customer service. Their service by phone used to be good too.

Travel Trac Comp Fluid Trainer
I bought this trainer in September of 2018 and have put countless hours in on it on TrainerRoad and Zwift. It's held up well. It's quiet and provides a nice fluid feel to it. Definitely a lot of bang for your buck here. It even has a little bit of "give" built in to it, so your bike will rock just a little bit as you pedal, which is good for your knees and your frame. It has some drift over temperature, so if you're trying to do long threshold intervals without a power meter, you're going to get some drift in readings based on speed. But overall, great trainer for the price.

It sets up and breaks down quickly. It's stable and quiet. The drag seems to be similar to riding (just no wind). Folds up compactly and can be tossed behind a chair. It's ideal.

Travel Trac Comp Fluid Trainer
Not compatible with a Specialized Allez Sprint. The skewer is too short and the width of the trainer is too narrow. Tried to work with the chat and call in customer service with no results. After quite a long time on the phone, the call in customer service told me to order a longer skewer....which was going to cost an add'l $30!!! And, it was back ordered. I traded this with a local friend, who has a trainer which is wider and will fit my bike. I'll work with a local bike store to find a more compatible part for my bike. Will not work with this company again. Suggest having bike techs answer customer services calls.

Travel Trac Comp Fluid Trainer
This is my first trainer. I am having surgery on my knee and will use it as part of my rehab. It arrived today and I set it up without any issues. I took a short "ride" on it and it worked fine. As expected, it doesn't feel like riding on the road during acceleration or deceleration. It's reasonably quiet in operation.
