Continental Gatorskin Tire (Black) (700c) (23mm)
You can't go wrong with these Gatorskins. They are the perfect training tire. You can even race these too! I've put my Gatorskin tires through the worst conditions (gravel roads, you name it) and never had a single problem. You will get plenty of use out of these tires before they'll need replacing.

Continental Gatorskin Tire (Black) (700c) (25mm)
Great tire. The folding bead is easier to mount on a rim than the steel bead. I ride rough county roads. Other tires don't hold up, but the gatorskin tires hold up very well. It is rare for me to have a flat with these tires.

Continental Gatorskin Tire (Black) (700c) (23mm)
I had no trouble getting my Gatorskin onto my Mavic Aksium aluminum rims.
If I can upload a photo--this is what my tire looked like after 4,400 miles on a back wheel. I live in southern California, with pretty good weather year-round. Basically all of those miles were on paved surfaces, with the amount of debris that shoulders & side-of-the-road bike paths have. I thumb-check tire pressure every week or so, and was shocked that all of a sudden I was down below the outer coating--it must have happened pretty quickly. In the ca. 18 months I had this tire on I think I got only a couple of flats, and was very pleased with that.
The traction was fine, never skidded out on sand or anything like that.

Continental Gatorskin Tire (Black) (700c) (28mm)
I have a pair of these tires on my Bianchi Aria ebike and have over 4,000 miles on them with no problems and still going strong. I have NEVER had such an excellent experience with tires in all my years of riding. eBikes are particularly heavy in the rear with the motor in the hub and still they keep going without the usual rear tire wear. So I highly recommend Continental Gatorskins

Continental Gatorskin Tire (Black) (700c) (25mm)
This tire is absolutely awesome. I have NEVER had a flat while using Gatorskins. Previously, I used various road tires & tubes and it seemed like every 50-75 miles I'd get a flat, regardless of brand of tire or tube. While the ride is not quite as smooth as a traditional road tire, not having to fix flats on the side of the road is a BIG plus! Plus these tires seem to last forever - as do your tubes. Save time & $$$ on tube replacements.
