These things are awesome. I had hand pain that if not cycling related was definitely aggravated by cycling (getting old sucks, but beats the alternative…). I had some traditional grips with modest bar ends (Cane Creek) as a standard setup for 15 + years on multiple mountain bikes. The additional palm area on these grips flexes slightly which combined with increased surface area really makes them super comfortable. Wish the extension was rubberized or covered with something (my old Cane Creek bar ends were rubberized - so I was used to that). I might experiment with some grip tape or ??? but I’m going to see if I get used to the non rubberized surface first. Well worth the price.
