Stay safer on the road with the Garmin's Varia RTL515. Unlike most taillights, the Varia has two main functions: a car sensing radar, and a safety tail light. The radar syncs with Bluetooth or ANT+ enabled Garmin devices and provides a visual and audible alert when a car is approaching. The taillight has up to one mile of daylight visibility and can be seen from 220-degrees, allowing drivers to see you well before the radar senses them. In its brightest mode (Day Flash) it produces 65 lumens and lasts up to 15 hours. With an improved mounting system, vertical design, and longer battery life, this light knocks its predecessor out of the water. With the Garmin Varia, see and be seen.

Have been using this with my Wahoo Roam ELEMNT II for six months now... the extra level of confidence changing lanes, turning, staying right has been comforting. I bought one for my brother after three weeks he loves his too. I never leave home with out it... neither does he.

I love the enhanced situational awareness this tail light provides. With quieter vehicles on the road it gives you an extra measure of protection. Pair easily with my Edge 540 and the battery life is great.

This has got to be the best add on feature for my road riding hands down. I still turn and look when crossing roads, but being able to ride in the middle of the road on long straights is great. The alerts come early which give you plenty of time to move over. It’s rather annoying when riding in a group with false alerts but I don’t do that very often.

What are you waiting for? This radar taillight is absolutely ridiculous how well it works. Flawlessly integrated with my Karoo 2. The radar lets me know the vehicle is approaching and one glance in my drop down mirror to check if the driver is paying attention. Serious game changer when on roads. Would not ride without one and have purchased a second mount for my other bike.
