The 2025 Kink Roadster 12" Kids BMX Bike is designed to be a young rider's first BMX bike. All parts are BMX components that have been adjusted down to the right size and dimensions to comfortably fit a child’s needs. Kink 2025 Roaster 12" BMX Bike (12.5" Toptube) (Digital Orange)
I was looking for a decent first bike for my grandson and after some research I decided on the Kink BMX Roaster 12. This had the style I was looking for and it was made by a reputable bike company. Most of the options out there are too toy like and I know he will be thrashing it, he's a daredevil.
The bike arrived in about a week in a nice little box and had just a few things to put together, I thought. I have been working on bikes for 45+ years so this should have been a piece of cake. It would have been if I didn't have to take every thing apart and apply grease to all the bearings. There was little to no grease on any of the bearings except the headset. The cranks were so tight they would barely turn, the wheels would not spin freely. The bolts on the stem had metal shavings all over them and had to be cleaned off. After going through the whole bike it is now ready to ride. I give 2 stars for quality control. 3 stars for overall quality (at this price) and 5 stars for style and weight. A 12" bike at this price should have been ready to ride after a minutes of assembling.
