KMC eGlide Chain Description:
The KMC eGlide Chain is a chain that was specifically optimized for precise shifting and to withstand the use and abuse of e-bikes equipped with any of Shimano's incredible LinkGlide drivetrains. The double X-bridge shaping of the plates in addition to extensive chamfering of the edges of the plates help this chain to mesh better and more quickly to gear teeth, resulting in a much better shifting quality and quieter operation. Each link is riveted together with oversized and reinforced solid pins that are mushroomed in for better tensile strength and a more rugged overall construction that will hold up to aggressive shifts under heavy loads. A high nickel content in the surface finish of this chain is a very tough barrier against rust and corrosion and will hang on to chain lube better for a smoother, quieter chain. Last but not least, these chains are non-directional and will perform best when installed on e-bikes with 9-11 speed Shimano LinkGlide or Cues drivetrains.
