KMC Z8.1 Rustbuster Chain Description:
The KMC Z8.1 Rustbuster Chain is a great chain for bike commuters that ride year around, bikes that are near salty bodies of water, or anyone else that hates the sight of rust on their bike chain. This chain features KMC's unique Rustbuster chain coating that resists the effects of salt and other road contaminations on the surface of the chain, dramatically reducing the chances of surface rust and prolonging the life of the chain. The durable z-bridge shaping of the plates in addition to extensive chamfering of the edges of the plates help this chain to mesh better and more quickly to gear teeth, resulting in a much better shifting quality. Solid pins that are rugged and hold up to aggressive shifts under heavy loads. Last but not least, these chains are non-directional and will come with a reusable missing link connector, so if you prefer to take chains off for deep cleaning or need to do a trailside repair it is easy to install, remove, and service this chain.
