NEW! S-Works Turbo
Road Tires from Specialized
The Fastest Most Durable Tube Type Performance Tire
For Fall 2022, Specialized has revamped their top-of-the-line road tire offerings with a new mix of compounds and race-worthy designs.
T2/T5 Dual Compound
Specialized’s fastest and most efficient, the new T2 compound is the result of over two years of extensive laboratory testing. On top of that, T2 offers high levels of durability. To get the right properties for ultimate performance, Specialized combines T2 with their T5 compound – providing better grip and handling.
Tubeless – Hookless Compatible
All size of the new Turbo 2BR tires are hookless compatible. This means that they work with nearly all tubeless-ready rims and are up to date with the latest industry standards.
S-Works Turbo RapidAir 2BR
The fastest of the fast, the Turbo RapidAir is only available in a 26mm option – the preferred size of World Tour pros. Compared with the previous version, this tire now provides 12% more puncture protection and weighs in at only 230g – an impressive number for a tubeless tire. Like all the latest S-Works offerings, it boasts the Gripton T2/T5 compound mix for a balanced and race-oriented ride.
S-Works Turbo 2BR
Performance-oriented, but with improved durability, this tire is for racing cobbled classics or putting in big training miles. BlackBelt protection combined with the benefits of tubeless means that this tire excels at races where the terrain is less than ideal. Here at Performance Bicycle, we will be testing out a couple sets of these tires to see how they stand up to the pothole-filled roads of Northern California
S-Works Turbo
For riders who prefer the simplicity of a classic tube-type tire, this is the fastest offering from Specialized. BlackBelt protection provides top-tier puncture resistance without a major weight penalty – the 700 x 28mm tire weights only 250g.
Specialized Turbo Pro
With features carried over from the S-Works Turbo, the Turbo Pro provides Specialized’s top level design at a more affordable price. Just like the S-Works model, the Turbo Pro utilizes BlackBelt puncture protection and the Turbo tread pattern. The main differences are that Turbo Pro uses only Gripton T5 compound rather than the new T2/T5 mix and weighs 13g more than the S-Works version.
