Pearl Izumi Transfer Mesh Sleeveless Base Layer Description:
The Pearl Izumi Transfer Mesh Sleeveless Base Layer is designed to provide enhanced comfort, moisture control, and thermal regulation over a broad temperature range. The PRO Transfer Mesh Fabric is designed to pull sweat away from the skin, and thanks to the sweat activated In-R-Cool technology, the sweat will quickly evaporate as air flows over it to provide a cooling effect for the rider even on hot muggy days. This fabric also has GoFresh™ anti-odor technology that, combined with the quick drying nature of the fabric, will fight off-putting odors and keep the rider feeling fresher for longer.
A compressive form fit and the use of stretchy fibers in the construction will minimize the chances that the fabric will bunch up under bib shorts and/or outer layers while having minimal impact on a riders range of motion, and this tighter fit will also assist with the moisture management and thermal regulatory properties of the fabric. Additional fitment features include a tailored fit around the arm holes to prevent bunching and extra bulk, an extended tail to provide coverage no matter what riding position you are in, and fabric care tags that are sewn on the outside to prevent irritation against the skin. Combine the thoughtful fit details with the advanced technical fabric, and the result is a base layer that is a versatile layer that can be worn anywhere from riding indoors on the trainer to hot laps in your local crit, and can even be used as the inner most insulating layer when layering up for a cold weather ride. Best of all, this garment uses 64% recycled content to reduce the amount of clothing waste in landfills and to reduce the overall impact on the environment.
Notes: This baselayer has a compressive form fit. If between sizes or if you prefer a bit more room in the baselayers, select one size bigger than your typical bike jersey/t-shirt size. Fabric tags are intentionally sewn on the outside of garment to prevent irritating the skin.
