The Cascade dropper post is named after the Cascade mountain range, home to some of the best riding in the Pacific Northwest. PNW Components' Cascade dropper is easy to install and provides dependable up and down actuation. The sturdy coil spring system and tidy external routing at the mid-cap deliver smooth, secure action. This post was easy to install and works great. I wouldn't ride without a dropper anymore and this post fits the bill.

Kudos to PNW for a great product, and the recent decision to offer a “lifetime warranty”.

This is an awesome upgrade to my XXL 2011 Stumpjumper FSR Comp 29’er. I am a tall guy and have always been a “high center of gravity risk” on a mountain bike, LOL. Going down technical (i.e. rocky) tight single track has sent me over the bars and/or off the bike more times than I can remember.

Got the Cascade 170mm dropper post and Puget 2X lever installed in about an hour, my riding will forever be changed! On my first ride using the Cascade dropper, I could see there’s a whole ‘nother level of comfort already tackling tough terrain. It was a low 40 degree day, so got to see how well the dropper handled the cold with respect to returning to the top, and it was flawless. Other droppers appeal to technology and the desire to simply spend more money, however in my book function takes first place.

I have previously used a Rockshock Reverb and a Giant dropper. The Reverb repeated failed and required repeated fluid bleeding to restore functionality. The Giant dropper also failed after two years of use. I installed a Cascade (170 mm) post. I value reliability and service life. The placement of the external routing at the mid-cap is brilliant for bikes requiring external cable routing. The coil spring system is dependable and smooth. I think I purchased a dropper that will out live my present bike. The installation is quite easy. I highly recommend the Loam lever. I mounted using a SRAM match maker.

Helped breathe some modern life into my old Stumpy! I've only had it out a couple times so far but the post is nice and smooth, easy to actuate, consistent and very easy to install and set up. Zero complaints and the PNW Components Loam Lever works great with it.
