Position: Cycling Marketing Manager
Location: Chico, CA

A roadie at heart, Ryan might race on carbon, but on training rides, you will see him on his custom steel frame. But don’t be fooled by the heavy bike, Ryan is a fierce competitor with a powerful drive to win. When he’s not racing, Ryan is can be found outside rock climbing, camping, backcountry skiing, trail running, or even bike-packing. A bicycle industry expert, Ryan is head honcho of all things cycling at Performance.

Unpopular Cycling Opinion:

“Zwift does not replace riding your bike outside. Training inside is great for your fitness but doesn’t help your riding soft skills.”

Favorite Bike Accessory:

Dynaplug “all my bikes are set up with tubeless tires these days. I think Dynaplug is a product that makes that even more viable for the masses.”

Favorite Snack on a Long Ride:

“I like to stop off at a convenience store and just go hog wild. Long rides are really the only time I eat that type of food. So much ride nutrition product is sweet that I love to get some savory or more meal-type foods from a store – V8 Vegetable juice, potato chips, Michelada beer, hot dog, nuts. If I’m feeling sweets, I’ll get cookies or gummy candies.”
