The Schwalbe Winter Ice Spike Tire broadens any users ability to ride in all conditions by adding a series of spike-profiled studs throughout the tread for improved control on icy and snowy surfaces. Designed with a focus of riding longer, straight distances without heavy cornering, Schwalbe Winter tires contain a series of centered ice spikes that will increase traction during frigid Winter commutes in extreme conditions on paved and flat surfaces. Puncture resistance is increased by K-Guard tire protection that finds Kevlar fibers embedded within a 50 TPI rubber compound for better defense against foreign objects and debris.
Note: Brand new studded tires must be ridden around 40km on asphalt roads without heavy acceleration and braking. This 'bed-in period' will ensure studs are fully set, after which, the studded tires can be used normally.
