Shimano Ultegra CN-6701 Chain (Silver) (10 Speed) (116 Links)
I bought two of these chains so that I would have an extra one. When the bike mechanic tried to put it on, he noticed that it was shipped with the wrong 'breakaway' pin. It was one meant for a different chain. We opened the second box, and it too had the wrong pin. These were factory sealed boxes. I can only assume that Performance was shipped a bad batch from their supplier but I've never had that had happen with a LBS.

Absolutely fantastic chain. I wish the price of these hadn't gone up so much over the last few years. Coupled with either my 5700 or 6700 cassette I get lightening fast up/down shifts with very little running noise. I'm currently using two of these with my own paraffin wax and graphite mixture, after 7,500 kms per chain they still measure perfect length wise with my ruler but started to develop enough lateral play to affect shifting. For reference on what kind of life they've lived I'm 77kg with an FTP of 290W. Looking to replace these I'm leaning towards the Tiagra CN-4601 since they are more economical and design wise appear to be identical (now that Tiagra is 10 speed).

Be careful when you buy this Shimano chain. Three of the last four that I bought or checked at the store already showed 0.5% of chain stretch out of the box, using a Park tool. In other words, two thirds of the wear was already present in the "new" chain. I gave up and bought a KMC chain which was solidly at 0% wear.

Shimano should be ashamed of their quality control.
