Very good shifter. Got it to replace a broken dura ace shifter, which is not available anymore. The feel is very similar, and matches left shifter well. Mechanical 11 speed is almost impossible to find.

We are in the process of converting the drivetrain on our tandem from 2006 Campy Record 10 to Shimano Ultegra R8000 2x11. Our bike shop was able to get all the components except for the shifters. The supplier was to have them available in April, then the date moved out to mid or late May. So, we told the shop we'd do our own search. Performance was the only reliable site that had the shifters, so we ordered them for 2-day delivery. The tandem upgrade is occurring now as I write this review, which would not have happened without Performance. Thanks!

Delivery was fast. The shift lever is 35 grams lighter than the 9 speed Ultegra it will replace. Brake cable routing is better than the old lever. The shift cable routing is a bit longer and more tortuous, but some may like the fact that it routes under the handle bar tape. I prefer the old routing, which is cleaner, a tiny bit lighter, but more exposed.
The only real issue I have with this, is that the ferrel into which the shift cable housing must be inserted does not fit Shimano index shift cable housing. You have to shave off some of the plastic covering to enable the housing to bottom out in the ferrel. Maybe not a big deal, but it is annoying. Shimano cable housing comes with a variety of end fittings, one of which will fit into the shift lever ferrel, but it won't bottom out. Using that will eventually make one unhappy.
I would give this four and a half stars, but that doesn't seem to be an option.
