The Specialized Cotton Folding Racing Only Road Tire is a lightweight tire that blends a traditional poly-cotton tire casing construction with an advanced tread compound to create a very comfortable, durable, and lightweight racing tire. A 320TPI poly-cotton casing construction pays homage to classic racing tubulars by offering a buttery smooth ride quality, but thanks to the clincher bead it will be much easier to fix untimely flats as well as making the mounting and maintenance of these tires much more user friendly. On top of this traditionally constructed casing is a dual density Gripton tread compound with a low profile tread pattern that provides low rolling resistance, outstanding tread life, and plenty of cornering grip to bomb down high speed descents. The result of this marriage of traditional construction and state of the art materials is an incredibly smooth riding, high performing, and lightweight modern racing tire that will have you setting new personal best lap/race times.
