Surly Singleator mounts right up to your derailleur hanger and provides a simple, effective, and adjustable means of tensioning the excess chain slack found in vertical dropout single-speed drivetrains.
Features:
- Triple-sealed spring, large cog capacity and chain guides
- Stainless steel pivot bushing
- Includes two springs for upward or downward tension adjustment
- Do not use with a coaster brake, fixed gear, multi-cog or multi ring drivetrains
- Works best with cogs 24T and under
- Not suitable for use on full suspension bikes
- Can be configured to push down or push up on the chain. Ships with spring set to push down
Tools Required For Installation:
- 18mm Cone Wrench
- 4mm Allen Wrench
- 5mm Allen Wrench
- Small flat head screwdriver (Needed for changing spring configuration)
- Torque Wrench w/ 5mm Allen Head (Torque to 9Nm)
