Tektro Basic Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit

The Tektro Basic Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit contains the syringe, hoses, and fittings needed to bleed TRP and Tektro hydraulic brakes. This bleed kit is designed for use with hydraulic brakes that use mineral oil, and the bleed kit is not compatible with DOT hydraulic brake fluid.

Note: Mineral oil is not included.


Includes:

  • 1 - Syringe with volume markings to make it easy to keep track of how much fluid is being pushed into the braking system
  • 1 - Plastic hose designed for syringe/caliper
  • 1 - Plastic hose designed for lever/overflow
  • 1 - M5 Bleed fitting (for Slate lever)
  • 2 - M6 Bleed fittings (DH-R, Trail, Quadiem, all calipers)
  • 1 - M7 Bleed fitting (For older model calipers with bleed nipple)

Tektro Basic Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit
The kit has decent parts and could be perfect for an at-home bleed, however, it is missing a part. The kit was missing a second tightening cap for the pink main connector to ensure the connecter stays seated in the exit tubing. You get one for the syringe setup, but the one part for the exit tube would be needed to ensure the tubing is secured. Mineral oil really slicks things up and the tubing will slip off easily.

Fortunately, Performance Bike customer service was great and I appreciated their time and communication with me and helped make me whole

Tektro Basic Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit
Be careful with this item. If you are looking for the full kit that includes the compression rings and the brass inserts required to adjust the length of TRP brake lines, this new kit from TRP does not come with them. Customer Service was fantastic in helping me resolve this and get the missing pieces I needed to ultimately adjust the length of my brake lines. The rest of the kit is perfect for bleeding the lines, just no extra parts required to adjust the length.
