The Thomson Elite X4 Stem features smooth edges for carbon bar compatibility and uses bolts that are custom heat treated with corrosion-preventative plating. The 1.5" clamp diameter is a specific fit to the fork steerer tube which increases stiffness. Precise steering, tracking, and overall more control all while adding the elegant look Thomson strives for.
