Avid BB7 Mountain Disc Brake Caliper Description:
The Avid BB7 Mountain Disc Brake Caliper is a highly adjustable disc brake caliper that provides excellent braking power and a ton of adjustability to eliminate brake pad rub. Each brake pad has an adjuster knob on it to really fine tune the distance of the brake pad from the rotor to eliminate pad rubbing and to fine tune the pad engagement point. Ball bearings in the pivot greatly reduces friction and improves brake lever feel, and an integrated cable stop spring adjustment adds more control of the brake feel. To top everything off, this caliper will come with a G2 CleanSweep 6-Bolt rotor, an IS mount caliper adapter, and hardware to ensure this caliper will fit properly on a mountain bike.
Note: Due to the shape of the brake pad installation tabs, this model is not compatible with most two piece or floating style disc brake rotors. For best feel and braking power, use zero compression brake cable housing or linear brake cable housing with the reinforcement strands running the length of the housing.
