Cadex 50 Ultra Carbon Disc Road Wheels are designed for cyclists that are looking for an aerodynamic wheel that is also light and strong to tackle what the road may throw at them. These wheels employ a hookless bead and precision reinforced carbon layup to create an exceptionally strong rim with impact resistance that rivals that of an XC mountain bike. Another benefit of the hookless inner rim is that it creates a smoother transition for the air flow between the tire and the rim for improved aerodynamics, and when the hookless rim wall is combined with the wide inner rim width, the result is more air volume compared to a hooked rim which results in better grip, greater pinch flat prevention, and a smoother ride quality. Connecting the hubs to these rims are high-tensile-strength super aero carbon spokes that utilize a Dynamic Balanced Lacing pattern to increase lateral stiffness without adding any weight, and the straight pull design of the spokes help to eliminate potential spoke breakage at the hub. Speaking of the hub, these hubs utilize ultra-low friction ceramic bearings for a free rolling wheel with minimal required maintenance, and there is a centerlock disc brake mount machined into the non-drive side of the hub for compatibility with many rotors and braking systems.
