The Campagnolo EKAR GT Ergopower Hydraulic Disc Brake/Shift Levers are a blend of Campagnolo's legendary precision and reliability combined with a healthy dose of modern performance and ergonomics to create a brake/shift lever that will help a rider to get the most out of their adventure, gravel, or road bike. The distinctive Ergopower control levers have retained the excellent feel and highly adjustable reach to make it very easy to get a comfortable grip on the brake levers, but Campagnolo has redesigned the hoods to add comfort (especially for longer rides) and have added a texture for enhanced levels of grip no matter how sweaty or nasty the trail conditions are. Even the most iconic feature of the Ergopower design, the thumb shifter, has received an update that makes the controls more accessible from both the hoods and the drops so the brakes and gears can be easily controlled without having to reposition the hands on the bars.
These impressive controls provide great tactile feedback every time you shift through the EKAR GT drivetrains 13 speeds, and these shifters even have the ability to upshift 3 gears with a single push of the lever to make it very easy to find the right gear ratio when rolling through technical terrain. Also attached to these re-imagined controls through a mineral oil filled hydraulic line is a set of flat-mount style calipers stuffed internals and construction techniques inspired by Campagnolo's flagship components. A stiff alloy caliper body is filled with oversized pistons pressing on long lasting, organic DB310 brake pads that provide a brake with great modulation and a progressive feel that makes it very easy to control a bikes speed. These brake calipers can fit over 140mm or 160mm rotors with the right adaptors (rotors and adaptors sold separately) providing more flexibility for the rider to get the right balance of power and control for their overall riding weight and performance goals.
