The lightweight 3 ply casing creates a perfectly round tire with an amazing balance of weight, and can hold up to 170 PSI to minimizing rolling resistance. The specially formulated Black Chili tread compound produces confidence inspiring levels of grip and yet, in part due to the smooth "tread" pattern, offers greatly reduced rolling resistance so once the bike is up to speed, these tires will help to keep that momentum going. While these tires can certainly be used for a variety of track events, the best thing about these tires is that they are designed to hold up to the demands of 6-day track races.
