Designed with a focus on building a well-rounded race bike that blends industry-leading composite frame engineering with fully integrated components, Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 will help you climb, corner and descend with astonishing speed and sublime road handling. Cockpit integration found aboard the TCR Advanced Pro 1 optimizes a lightweight handlebar and stem with aero shaping and flat handlebar tops that also routes cables internally for a totally hidden appearance that adds a boost of aero profiling without increasing difficulty for access and maintenance. At the heart of the Advanced Pro 1 cockpit is OverDrive Aero, a re-imagined steerer tube concept that implements a D-shape that matches with a corresponding stem and spacer set for superior compliance and aerodynamics.
Giant engineered processes and design concepts work together to accomplish a greater stiffness-to-weight ratio than the previous generation, along with new aero tube shaping and a lighter overall weight. All tube shapes found throughout the TCR Advanced Pro 1 have been molded with influence from Computational Fluid Dynamic modeling and wind-tunnel testing, resulting in a streamlined profile that improves overall aero performance compared to former renditions. Special attention has been spent developing PowerCore, a press-fit bottom bracket design that offers pronounced additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside. Compliance remains consistent throughout seattube and seatpost thanks to D-shaped shape that combines the best attributes of stiffness-to-compliance with an aerodynamic boost.
Further effort has been spent matching component integration for a continuous extension of performance and integration. Shimano Di2 components found on board shifts elegantly, with consistent precision and connects Shimano's E-Tube project for personalized shifting and drivetrain data. Integrated into the crankset is Power Pro a dual-sided power meter platform that delivers accurate information with precise, reliable and simple set-up using Giant's RideLink app. Ride Link offers information pertaining to Left/Right balance, power phase metrics, and more for involved training data that will have you chasing your optimal performance.
Total wheel optimization finds the TCR Advanced Pro 1 equipped in both front and rear with the Giant SLR 1 40 wheel system. Engineered with proprietary Dynamic Balanced Lacing and composite spokes, SLR 1 40 wheels feature a tubeless ready composite that delivers superior efficiency, comfort and control a user-friendly system that provides a formative balance of stiffness, compliance, and efficient power transfer. TCR Advanced frames lends powerful, consistent braking performance in all conditions through flat-mount integration on both frame and fork. Tire clearance allows for up to 33mm width tires, enabling users to select from a wide array of road tires for their ideal tubeless set-up.
