PRO Discover Aero Carbon Gravel Handlebar Description:

The PRO Discover Aero Carbon Gravel Handlebar provides comfort and performance for everyone from adventurers and explorers to gravel bike racers. Starting with the unidirectional T700 carbon fiber that is infused with Dyneema® fibers, the construction of this bar provides a durable, stiff, and strong handlebar that also absorbs road and trail vibrations. These bars are even stout enough to accept carbon fiber friendly aerobar extensions, otherwise the extended clamp area around the stem can be used for extra on-bike storage, bicycle trip computers, camera mounts, and many other accessories. These bars also feature hidden brake cable and shift cable routing for both traditional and electronic drivetrains, which help with aerodynamics as well as keeping a cleaner, less cluttered appearance.

As impressive as what is under the skin is, the comfort features on the outside are equally impressive. These bars offer many comfortable hand positions throughout thanks to subtle shaping of the bars, and the shallow, compact curvatures make it easier to transition the hands around the handlebars while staying in control of the bike. The 12° flare gives just enough width at the ends of the bars to enhance the control when fighting the wind or tackling a more technical stretch of trail, and that flare of the bar also reduces the chances of the rider's forearms coming into contact with the tops of the bars when riding down in the drops. When all is said and done, the PRO Discover Aero Carbon Gravel Handlebars are built to encourage the explorers to get out and be adventurous, and to still offer enough pure performance in a lightweight package to satisfy the racer's need for speed.

Features:

  • Unidirectional T700 carbon fiber and Dyneema® fiber construction result in a durable, rugged, and stiff handlebar that also soaks up road and trail vibrations to help reduce hand fatigue
  • Wide flat top is not only more aerodynamic, it also creates a wide platform to take pressure off of weary hands and give the rider a chance to sit up for a bit to relax the neck and back
  • Compact bar shape with short reach, shallow 100mm drops, and slight forward sweep makes it very easy to change hand position on the bars and to ride in the drops comfortably
  • 12 degree flare
  • Compatible with carbon friendly clip on aero extensions
  • 31.8mm clamping diameter

PRO Discover Aero Carbon Gravel Handlebar (Black) (31.8mm) (Carbon) (42cm)
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be reviewing the product or the service here, but am pleased to be able to report excellence in both! The bars are very comfortable and the channel for brake lines and Di2 wires integrates perfectly with the stock stem of my Orbea Terra. Supply and delivery by Performance Bike was fast and without any issue. Happy buyer, happy rider!
