Selle Italia Max SLR Gel Superflow Saddle (Black) (Titanium Rails) (L3) (145mm)
I have had both really nice road bikes(DeRosa, Colnago, and original Motobecane) and city Hybrids(Bianchi and Trek). I am 60 yrs of age and am riding a Bianchi Hybrid called the Mondiale from 2003. I use this saddle on that bike and it works really well. I do use cycle shorts with inserts. I am also a heavier rider. This saddle is form fitting, lightweight, and very supportive for longer rides(it keeps you in a good position). I would really recommend this to other riders as you are able to get off of the bike and feel well. Take a look at Selle Italia's website for their new S1-S3/L1-L3 classifications. They are correct I also use the Max Flite Gel Superflow on a DeRosa Neo Primato Road bike which is another L3 category saddle. Great quality saddle here. Selle Italia saddles last 30 yrs + with minimal care plus the panache of being handmade in Italia. best in your riding, Dave C Chicago

Selle Italia Max SLR Gel Superflow Saddle (Black) (Titanium Rails) (L3) (145mm)
My saddle is the 145 mm , And I took it for a 12 mile one-way ride without padded biker shorts and 12 miles back TopSpeed reached was 19 mph and minimum average speed was 13 I had no soreness issues when I got back to the starting point I found this seed to be comfortable I would highly recommend it, I have this saddle on a specialize alloy stumpjumper mountain bike

Selle Italia offers 6 size variations of saddles to suit the needs of a wide variety of cyclists.

  • S size saddles are for riders with narrow intertrochanteric distance (pelvic width) and L size saddles are for riders with wide intertrochanteric distance.
  • The number associated with the size corresponds to whether or not the saddle has a central hole. S1 and L1 saddles have no central hole, S2 and L2 saddles have a medium-sized central hole (Flow), and S3 and L3 saddles have a large central hole (Superflow). For the right fit, match pelvic flexibility and rotation to the appropriate number.
