Shimano Alivio BL-T4000 V-Brake Levers (Silver) (Pair)
The Shimano Alivio BL-T4000 V-Brake Levers are a good solid option, they might not be as cool as Deore or others. I had a 2007 Specialized Sirrus Sport that I used as a daily commuter until 3 years ago, which had both Alivio levers and v-brakes. They worked well, never had any issues, and were easy to maintain and adjust. I am converting a 1993 TREK 930 into a 1X (using a 9-speed CUES drive train and 30t-crank set) and am switching from cantilevers to v-brakes -- that's why I choose the Alivio's. I should also mention that I wanted the silver color to match the majority of the TREK's parts.
