The Specialized Air Trak Tubeless Mountain Tire is designed to provide incredibly low rolling resistance and pure speed for XC mountain bike racing over hardpack trail conditions. A Flex Lite tire casing combined with a 2bliss ready folding bead provides a supple ride quality for excellent traction and a smoother ride, and at the same time the rotating weight is minimized which results in very snappy acceleration and an easier time maintaining speeds. The low profile and tightly spaced central tread pattern pairs with Specialized's Gripton T5 tread compound for very low rolling resistance and exceptional straight line speed over harder surfaces. When the trail starts to get twisty, the uniquely shaped tread knobs progressively start to space out, resulting in a predictable transition onto the shoulder knobs that utilize a tackier Gripton T7 compound for confidence inspiring grip and higher cornering speeds. When looking for a lightweight tire to get around a hardpack XC mountain bike course as fast as possible, the Specialized Air Trak tire has everything necessary to get to the finish line at the head of the pack.
