At the core of these tires, a 3-ply TLR casing (with 60TPI per ply) with an optimized overlap between the plies imparts these tires with outstanding handling characteristics, excellent puncture resistance, and remarkably low rolling resistance. Not to be outdone, wrapped around this casing is Specialized's Gripton T5 compound that tenaciously sticks to the ground while also exhibiting resistance to wear and tear similar to high end mountain bike tires. Taking advantage of that remarkable compound is numerous low profile tread knobs that will roll easily over hardpacked surfaces while also providing numerous biting edges for traction when encountering looser surfaces and inclement weather. Add in the ability to run lower pressures thanks to the 2bliss ready bead and casing construction, and the end result of all of this impressive construction and tech is a wildly versatile gravel tire that will add a great deal of comfort, grip, and reliability to any ride.
